CyberCrime 2022

A one day event with local and international speakers addressing the problem of global cybercrime

Thursday, 24th February 2022

Free and online – 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM NZDT

Cybercrime is a “$1trillion dollar drag on the global economy” that harms public safety, undermines national security and damages economies. In 2021, nearly $50 billion was reported lost by internet users around the world to scams and frauds with detection and prosecution of offenders estimated to be as low as 0.05%.

In New Zealand, over a dozen agencies play a part in tackling cybercrime – prevention, detection and response – but there is no national data available on the true impact to the country and New Zealanders.

On Thursday 24th February, (ISC)2 Auckland Chapter is hosting a one-day online event with local and international speakers who will shine a light on global cybercrime and the efforts being made to prevent more people from falling victim.
